INTERCOUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS - MENS OVER 45

Held at Lilleshall National Sports Centre –
Shropshire on 4th/5th Feb 2006
Somerset performed well in Second Stage of the
Intercounty Championships to finish second. On day 1 of the weekend they
comfortably beat Merseyside 4-1 (19-4) and then proceeded to beat
Herefordshire 5-0 (20-3). On day 2 they faced Shropshire the home side
for the decider. Shropshire won 4-1 (18-8) but the score did not reflect
how close the match was with Somerset leading 2-1 in two of the matches
that they lost.
